Ryan Koch (BS '15)

Ryan Koch sampling I am working on my master's degree at Oklahoma State University (OSU) in Dr. Matthew Bolek's lab. a landscape As of now, I am conducting a survey on freshwater snails in lakes and ponds in Stillwater, OK. Snails are important hosts for trematode parasites, and sampling them will give me a better idea of what parasites are out there and what research I might want to conduct. Matt Bolek is a very adventurous advisor and is willing to explore many potential research ideas. railroad crossing In the meantime, I will be a teaching assistant for the general biology labs at OSU. My undergraduate degree in Ecology, Evolution and Natural Resources has greatly prepared me for where I am today, especially my work in Dr. Michael Sukhdeo's parasitology lab.
