Here is the list of the contents for the basic toolkit
- 1 handlens 10X (add a lanyard or neckband)
- 1 tick remover (see photocopied instructions)
- 1 laminated mm graph paper, letter-size (use as background for photos, provides scale)
- 1 laminated mm/cm scale, business-card size (for measuring and scale for photography)
- 1 waterproof tape measurer, 150 cm, in cm/inches
- 1 tweezer (stuck into cork for safety, SHARP)
- 2 dissection needles (stuck into cork for safety, SHARP)
- 1 small Rite-in-the-Rain field notebook
- 20 pages of Rite-in-the-Rain paper, letter-size (see photocopied instructions)
- 1 scalpel, plastic, with cover (SHARP)
- 1 plastic petri dish with lid (for dissection, FRAGILE)
- 3 snapcap plastic jars (for storing captured specimens temporarily)
- 2 small screwcap plastic jars (for storing small captured specimens temporarily)
