Award name: M. Buell Award for Outstanding Student in Ecology

Throughout my life, I've faced numerous challenges and obstacles that have shaped me into the person I am today. From a young age, I learned the value of perseverance and determination as I navigated through difficult circumstances. Despite the hardships, I remained focused in my pursuit of education and personal growth. This resilience carried over into my academic journey at Rutgers, where I discovered my passion for ecology and the environment. Working with trees, assessing forests, and exploring the world of birds and invertebrates deepened my love for the natural world. Looking ahead, I'm eager to continue my journey in ecology through volunteering and gaining further experiences in the field.

My ultimate goal is to pursue a doctorate program in ecology, contribute to the scientific community, and make a meaningful difference in understanding and preserving our planet. I am inspired by successful projects that showcase the beauty and impact of innovative initiatives. I hope to be part of a future where projects like these are brought to life, creating sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions to the world’s problems. Thank you for considering my story, and I'm excited to embark on this journey of ecological exploration and conservation!
